It builds solid community partnership​s and develops human capabilities to impact the health of populations.

The Center nurtures the culture of collective responsibility, diversity, and social justice. 

CPHP fulfills its mission through the following activities: 

  • Evidence-based health development programs: CPHP develops and implements community partnerships to promote individual and community health.

  • Effective workforce development and continuing educa​tion: CPHP offers diverse, multidisciplinary and financially sustainable training programs. READ MORE

  • Service learning and student engagement: CPHP facilitates servi​ce learning courses and provides students with venues to practice the knowledge learned in the classroom while providing a service to community.​​​​​​

Our Partnerships and Affiliations

CPHP works closely with different local, national, regional, and international entities including but not limited to:

  • Academic institutions: Boston University, Johns Hopkins University

  • UN agencies: UNFPA-ASRO, UNICEF Lebanon, UNICEF Syria, UNFPA Iraq, UNRWA, UNICEF Regional Office, add ESCWA

  • NGOs: HelpAge International, Medical Aid for Palestinians, British Council

  • Governmental agencies and local authorities: Ministries of Public Health, Ministries of Youth and Sports, Ministries of Social Affairs​
  • Municipalities: signed Memorandum of Understanding with Sin El Fil Municipality through long term partnership
  • International foundations: Jordanian Communication and Advocacy Program

Our Approach

Our work revolves around three  axis: 

  • Thematic: youth development, refugee health, sexual and reproductive health, maternal and child health, ageing, health communication, school health and environment, tobacco, mental health and child protection, among others

  • Methodological: implementation research, evidence-based programming, functional reviews of public health institutions, monitoring and evaluation, communication for development, training of trainers, and capacity building

  • Engagement: motivating FHS students and faculty to engage in community through service initiatives, cultivating social justice, diversity, and social responsibility​​​
