Dr. Joe El-Khoury, Professor of Laboratory Medicine at Yale University, delivered the fourth TrEd Career Chat at AUB entitled, "Investing Time: From AUB Undergrad to Yale Professor" on Oct 6, 2026. Dr. El-Khoury shared his career path starting from AUB all the way to his current heights.
Apart from Dr. El-Khoury's impactful achievements in the field of science, the conversation brought up the importance of mentoring and nurturing young scientists and medical professionals. The willingness to teach and share the experience of over 20 years in the profession was yet another factor that contributed to the significance of the discussion and fits perfectly into the concept of our TrEd Career Chat Series."
What made this conversation particularly meaningful was the insight into how an AUB foundation can develop into a career driven by curiosity, mentorship, and opportunities that are often not planned for in advance.
