  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. Nobel Laureate Morten Meldal

2022 Chemistry Nobel Laureate Morten Meldal delivered the 36th mentoring talk at AUB entitled, “Everything is Chemistry. A Nobel Quest of Chemical Transformation and Molecular Recognition" on Feb 12, 2026 via WebEx. This mentoring talk was organized in partnership with the prestigious Angewandte Chemie.
