Our Mission
The Office of International Programs (OIP) supports AUB's international engagement by building and stewarding institutional partnerships, advancing mobility opportunities for AUB students, faculty, and staff, and welcoming international students to AUB's academic and cultural community in Beirut. We work to ensure that meaningful international experiences are accessible to AUB's community — through partner exchanges, faculty and staff mobility, and the relationships that connect AUB to peer institutions across the world.
What We Do
OIP's work is organized into four interconnected areas:
Institutional Partnerships — We develop and steward AUB's international agreements with universities, government agencies, foundations, and consortia. We currently maintain a portfolio of active partnerships across more than 25 countries, organized through tiered strategic relationships in priority regions.
Outbound Mobility — We advise and support AUB students seeking to study abroad through semester exchanges and study abroad programs, summer programs, and short-term mobility. We also support faculty and staff exchange opportunities through Erasmus+ and bilateral programs.
Inbound Mobility and International Student Services — We welcome degree-seeking international students, visiting students, and exchange students to AUB and support their academic and cultural integration through orientation, advising, and visa and residency permit support. We also oversee the OIP Mentor Program and the Yalla Ne7kieh Arabic Program.
Signature Events and Programming — We coordinate the International Students Welcome Day (ISWD), the Study Abroad Fair, and other gathering moments that bring AUB's international community together.
