Minor in Applied Energy
  • ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The mi​nor in Applied Energy is open to all MSFEA students who are interested in the energy domain and in renewable energy applications.

    Students seeking professional careers that focus on energy, the environment, sustainable applications in buildings, and energy systems may be interested in this minor. The minor in Applied Energy is administered by the Department of Mechanical Engineering Applied Energy Minor Program Structure.

    ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Program Summary​

    The student taking the minor is required to complete 18 credits from the list given below. The student has to complete 6 credits of core courses and 12 credits of elective courses.​​​​

How to Declare a M​inor?​

Procedure for Completing a Minor​​​

  • Student meets with the Advise​​​r to discuss option and plan for completing a minor
  • Student then fills the form, ​Intention to Fulfill a Minor​, and sends it to [email protected]
  • After finishing all the courses with an average of 70 or higher t​​he student must fulfill the form Certificate of Fulfillment ​of the Requirements of a Minor. This form is specific for every min​​or
  • The form is then signed by the Adviser and sent to the FAS Student Services Officer in the Deans office
  • The form is then approved by the Dean and sent to the Registrar, Adviser and the student's department​​​​
