SMEC 27 Conference

The Science and Mathematics Education Center within the Department of Education at the American University of Beirut will hold its Twenty-Seventh Annual Science and Math Educators Conference (SMEC 27) on campus on March 28, 2026. This year's conference theme is “Teaching and Learning Through the Body, Language, and Technology in School Science and Mathematics."

The SMEC 27 Program Committee invites science and mathematics education faculty members, as well as science and mathematics teachers and coordinators from Lebanon, the Arab region, and beyond, to submit proposals for presentations to be considered for inclusion in the conference program. Completed proposals (including the cover sheet) are due by December 21, 2025.
