The Environmental and Chemical Safety Division supports the American University of Beirut in maintaining a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible campus. The division identifies, assesses, and manages environmental, chemical, and occupational risks associated with research, healthcare, academic, and operational activities across AUB and AUBMC. Through safety inspections, risk assessments, environmental monitoring, chemical management programs, and technical guidance, the division helps ensure that university operations are conducted safely and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, institutional policies, and recognized international standards
