Biomedical Engineering Unit Facilities

Supporting safe, reliable, and fully integrated clinical technologies across AUBMC.

The Biomedical Engineering Unit (BEU) provides specialized clinical engineering support to ensure the safety, performance, and reliability of medical equipment and healthcare technologies across AUBMC, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Sciences Core Facility.

Operating under the Office of Facilities, BEU works closely with clinical departments, hospital leadership, IT, and other Facilities units to support uninterrupted patient care, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

The unit oversees:

Medical equipment lifecycle management
Preventive and corrective maintenance
Clinical technology integration
Medical systems and applications support
Regulatory compliance and patient safety
