Students will explore reflexivity, audience awareness, and ethical practices in communication. It then delves into the application of technical communication strategies tailored to different purposes and audiences. It emphasizes the dynamic interplay between informative, persuasive, and impromptu communication.

This course equips STEM professionals with the practical writing skills needed to create clear, concise, and coherent forms of communication. Through hands-on assignments and real-world applications, students will learn the principles of effective technical writing and explore the role of AI in enhancing writing quality. Additionally, the course will apply best practices to assess and critique engineering documents based on writing standards and cultural contexts.

Applicants to this diploma may provide evidence for RUSE by submitting a satisfactory and valid score for one of the following tests: AUB-EN, TOEFL iBT, IELTS (Academic), or Duolingo.

Important Note: Applicants who have graduated from a university where English is the primary language of instruction may be exempted from demonstrating RUSE.

Upon program completion, you will receive a professional certificate issued by the Maroun Semaan Faculty of Engineering and Architecture (MSFEA), signed by the Dean of MSFEA and the Director of the Abdulla al Ghurair Hub for Digital Teaching and Learning.

The certificate does not state online. All our programs are offered by AUB faculty members in collaboration with industry experts and offer quality education while utilizing advanced tools and technology to facilitate online learning.
