AUB and Télécom Paris Sign Student Exchange Agreement, Strengthening Ties with One of France's Leading Engineering Schools

The American University of Beirut and Télécom Paris — one of France's leading engineering grandes écoles and a member of the Institut Mines-Télécom and Institut Polytechnique de Paris — have signed a new student exchange agreement that strengthens AUB's network of academic partnerships in Europe.

Beginning in September 2026, the first two AUB computer Science students, Mia Abou Haidar and Josef Samara, will join Télécom Paris's MSc in Digital Engineering program for a six-month exchange.

The agreement reflects AUB's continued commitment to building meaningful partnerships with leading international institutions and to opening high-quality academic mobility opportunities for AUB students in fields where global exposure is increasingly valuable. For students in computer science and engineering particularly, time at a peer institution abroad complements their AUB education with exposure to different research traditions, technical environments, and professional networks.

The Office of International Programs will be supporting Mia and Josef through this experience and will be working with Télécom Paris to grow the partnership over time.
