  Founded in 1866, the American University of Beirut is a teaching-centered research university based on the American liberal arts model of higher education. AUB has over 8,000 students and 800 faculty members. AUB offers more than 130 programs leading to bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The main language of instruction is English.

MS in Geology

Candidates pursuing the master of science program in geology must complete seven graduate courses (21 cr.) and a thesis (9 cr.). Students may select courses from the graduate courses offered in the department and a maximum of 9 credits of electives can be from outside the department according to their fields of interest.
